Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-08-30
1. The service
PDFIntact analyses a PDF you provide and returns its text, tables, formulas and charts in an editable form (Excel, Word, Markdown or JSON). It is a service, not a product sale.
2. What it can and cannot do
The accuracy of the conversion has limits. The following cannot be converted reliably:
- Charts with no printed values — the numbers are estimated from the shape of the chart. We mark estimated values as estimates on screen and in every export.
- Several charts combined into a single figure — out of scope.
- Documents consisting only of handwriting.
3. Refunds
This is a service that begins as soon as payment completes, so we do not refund on the basis of a change of mind. We do refund automatically, without you asking, in these cases:
- Processing did not complete because of a fault on our side.
- We detect that the conversion did not produce a valid result.
- Seven days pass after payment without the PDF being uploaded, so no conversion ever started. We email you one day and three days after purchase to help you resume before that happens.
4. Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU or the EEA, you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a contract for digital services. Because conversion begins immediately, we ask you at checkout to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. We record that consent with your order. If you do not give it, we cannot start the conversion.
5. Liability
Always check the converted output against the original PDF. The confidence labels are there to tell you where to look. Except where we have acted with intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the conversion in question.
6. Subscriptions
Some plans are billed monthly instead of one-off. If you subscribe, this applies in addition to the sections above:
- Subscriptions renew automatically every month until cancelled. Each renewal is a new charge for the following month.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, reachable from your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period, and the plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Credits granted by a subscription expire 60 days after the invoice that granted them — a shorter window than the 180 days for one-off credit packs, because a subscription is expected to renew again before then.
- If you cancel, credits you already received keep working normally until their own expiry date. Cancelling does not delete or reduce credits you already have.
